Grace House on the Mountain

Grace House on the Mountain is a ministry center of The Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia perched on Sandy Ridge near Norton and St. Paul in Wise County, Virginia. Grace House seeks to be a place of social justice and advocacy for the welfare of the Appalachian people. Grace House on the Mountain endeavors to extend the love of Christ by reaching out into communities showing mercy and compassion, through responsiveness by "working with, not for" the families in the surrounding area. Our work projects center on helping families in need to have safe, warm, and dry homes. In addition to the work projects, Grace House on the Mountain extends outreach services to the surrounding community by offering financial assistance with essential services such as electricity, water, and medicine.

Trinity is planning at least 2 trips to Grace House during 2024.

Want to help plan? Email Gail + to let her know you are in.

Interfaith Outreach

Trinity belongs to Interfaith Outreach, which is a vehicle for interfaith cooperation in Central Virginia. A multi-denominational group whose objective is to relieve distress and improve the quality of life for people in need in Lynchburg and surrounding counties.

As you read this list of IO needs and projects below, please pray about if you might like to work on one of these with a church friend, gather a team together, and help coordinate a church response. Timing for many of these can be flexible or scaled for your schedule. Let Gail + know what you hear in prayer and reflection, if you have any questions, or if she can help you recruit and get the word out!
