Leadership

Trinity Episcopal Church values faithfulness to the Gospel, joy, and accountability in its leadership. As a parish in the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia, we participate in regional mission and the life of the diocese, as guided by our bishop. As Trinity parish, we elect members to the vestry, our church board, to guide and support the ministries of the parish. Trinity is an affirming church, with LGBTQIA+ members in multiple levels of leadership.

Trinity is currently in a transitional phase, discerning together with our diocese the next leader. We do not currently have a full time priest but we do have priests joining us regularly to celebrate the eucharist and observe morning prayer together when the eucharist is not celebrated.

Carolyn Ludwig (Senior Warden)

Carolyn serves as Senior Warden as well as Trinity's pianist every Sunday. She has been attending Trinity for over 4 years. When she isn't practicing a beautiful offertory she can be found playing violin, hanging out with family, or doting on her corgi, Sam.

Doug Townshend (Jr. Warden)

Doug serves as Junior Warden, maintaining Trinity's building and grounds as well as facilitating intergenerational fellowship through things like the Sunday morning book study or Trinity Space. When he isn't cracking dad jokes during coffee hour he can be found playing tabletop games, spending time with his family or reading.
